The package name is the same in both versions of the app (package="" in the AndroidManifest.xml) How do I stop the uninstall and perform an "upgrade" instead? Or, how do I preserve internal storage so I can grab the file I need to? This, of course, deletes internal storage and makes it impossible to test the migration code. When I debug the new app (Xamarin.Forms) from Visual Studio, it ALWAYS uninstalls the app before deploying. To test this, I have a debug build of the old app (installed manually on the simulator via APK) running and the file is created. I need to grab a file from internal storage (/data/data//shared_prefs/titanium.xml) so I can migrate the settings stored in it over to the new Xamarin.Forms app. Currently, the app is written with Appcelerator (Titanium).
